Is this strategy good in EU game?
I am going to buy this game, but I want your opinion. Is it any good?
I think it is, but I haven?t played it. i love war strategy games. I loved Shogun. And the online gaming, how does it work? Is it the map thing too? Are you supposed to take over wurope in the online game too?
Cuz in Shogun you could only participate in the war scenes online.
Thanks.
(Btw this is my forst post in this board)

It’s definitely not evil.
Look through the earlier threads in both this and the FAQ forums; this question has been asked and answered zillions of times. ![]()

What exactly do you want us to say? I’ve played this game since its German release, and I love it. But it might not work for you. The pace is definitely slower than in Shogun, and the battles are far less action-like. But EU has a lot greater depth.

I didn?t like the battles in shogun. I always chose the automatic battle option. How are the battles anyway? And is the game in realtime?

, actually I?m not swede. I just live in this godforgiven land :p

Zobin, this is not always the kind of game that you just sit down and play. I find it is an excellent game to sort of run in the background, if you have something else to do. Then, if the game requires your attention, you get to it. For example, last night I ran the game for about 90 minutes. I went around promoting mayors, founding new colonies, and entering royal marriages- basic peacetime stuff. If you fight a lot of wars, you won’t be able to be in the next room while the game is running. But one big feature about EU is that it costs time, money, and manpower to fight those wars. You can’t be fighting all the time and have the best empire.

Basically, the game is brilliant, you do have to put time into it, getting to know the game.
I also played and liked Shogun, but EU is better

EU is a fantastic historical strategy game - if you liked Civilisation it is probable that you will enjoy this. Be warned though it is very time consuming. There is a link to reviews from this mahjong site - including some that have player reviews attached (always the best ones to read). But if you enjoy either strategy gaming or history you will enloy this game - if you like both you will be a complete addict.

To answer your question, yes I think the game is great. It has lasted a lot longer than other games that I have played recently.
Daimyo 12-06 21:18
At first the game is impossibly complex, but after you play a while it all comes together and it seems amazing. This lasts for a couple weeks or months (your mileage may vary) and its great. Then you play it some more and you find that its really very very predictable (just as any computer game is). Its still fun, but its certainly not the holy grail of compter gaming I thought it was after my first month of playing. I would easily give this game my highest reccomendation and I’m looking forward to the sequel more than I’ve looked forward to any other game before (yes, its passed even my anticipation for civilization 3 and neverwinter’s nights).

This game has come straight from Hell. This game is horrible, and you should turn and run away screaming at the very mention of this game.;)
But Seriously, EU is an awesome game. I would highly suggest getting it. The only problem is the lack of sleep because you cant stop playing it.
